First time?

Below is some information for first-time customers of DFW 8mm.

How should I ship films to you?

When we receive your form submission or email, we’ll provide our shipping address. We recommend USPS Media Mail, as it’s the least expensive way to send 8mm films. Pirate Ship is an excellent, easy-to-use shipping provider, and it costs a lot less than going to the post office or UPS Store. They’re not paying us to say that, they’re just really good.

For inexperienced shippers, we have prepared a simple how-to for sending us your films.

When do I get my files?

Upon the completion of the transfer, we will send you a sample of the scan along with a Square invoice for the work.

After you approve the sample, and the payment is completed, we will make your MP4 files available for download! We keep them around for two weeks or until you request deletion – whichever comes first.

Meanwhile, we box up your items and get them right back in the mail. Unless otherwise requested, we will use USPS Media Mail purchased through Pirate Ship. Return shipping is on us, unless you would like us to use Priority Mail or UPS. In which case, we’ll invoice you the difference.

What payment methods are accepted?

Visa, Mastercard, Amex, and Discover cards are accepted by our invoicing software. If you want to pay by check, let us know and we’ll try to work something out.
